Acceptable Use Policy
What's in these terms?
Our Acceptable Use Policy sets out the standards that apply when you access, use, or share content from our guides, contact other users through our site, link to our guides, or otherwise interact with our platform. By accessing or using our guides, you confirm that you accept the terms of this policy and agree to comply with them.
We may amend this policy periodically. Please review these terms each time you use our guides to ensure you understand them.
General terms of use
- You must create an account to access and use our guides.
- You must be at least 16 years old to use our guides.
- You must use our guides in compliance with this Acceptable Use Policy.
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and password.
- You agree not to solicit, collect, or use the login credentials of other users.
- You confirm that any information you provide upon registration and during use is accurate and up-to-date. You agree to update this information as necessary.
- You are responsible for any activity that occurs under your account. You agree not to sell, transfer, or license your account or any access rights to the guides.
- UGC Uni does not claim ownership of any content you upload or post in relation to our guides. However, you grant UGC Uni a non-exclusive, fully paid, royalty-free, worldwide license to use such content as necessary.
- You agree that paid or sponsored content may not always be clearly identified.
Prohibited uses
You may use our guides only for lawful purposes. You may not use our guides:
- In violation of any local, national, or international law or regulation.
- For any fraudulent or unlawful purpose or to engage in fraudulent activity.
- To harm or attempt to harm minors in any way.
- To bully, insult, intimidate, or humiliate others.
- To upload or share any malicious software or harmful code (e.g., viruses, spyware, worms).
You also agree:
- Not to reproduce, copy, distribute, or resell any part of our guides without permission.
- Not to attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of our site, its servers, or any network or system used by UGC Uni or any third party.
Content standards
All contributions to our platform, including reviews, comments, and user-generated content, must comply with the following standards:
Your contributions must:
- Be accurate (when stating facts).
- Be genuinely held (when stating opinions).
- Comply with applicable laws in your jurisdiction and in any country from which they are posted.
Your contributions must not:
- Be defamatory, obscene, offensive, or promote violence or discrimination.
- Infringe on any copyright, trademark, or intellectual property rights.
- Be misleading, promote illegal activities, or be threatening, abusive, or invasive of another's privacy.
- Harass, embarrass, or alarm others.
- Impersonate any person or misrepresent your identity.
- Contain unauthorized advertising or link to inappropriate sites.
Interactive services
We may offer interactive features, such as community forums or comment sections. These services may or may not be moderated. Where moderation is applied, you will be informed of how it operates and how you can reach the moderator.
Breach of this policy
If we determine that a breach of this policy has occurred, we may take action, including but not limited to:
- Immediate, temporary, or permanent suspension of your access to our guides.
- Legal action to recover any losses or damages incurred.
- Reporting the incident to relevant authorities.
We reserve the right to take other actions as we see fit and exclude liability for these actions.
Transfer of rights
We may transfer our rights and obligations under this policy to a third party, provided it does not adversely affect your rights.
Governing law
This policy and any disputes are governed by the Netherlands. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of Rotterdam.
